Thorned Hull is an augment. It is the Attack counterpart to Juiced Reserves.

When obtained, it adds a bonus 1 attack strength to the player for every 30 maximum health the player has beyond their starting stats. This bonus is handled separately from the player's regular attack strength stat, although it's shown together on the pause screen.

Interactions and Synergies

• With enough Armor, obtaining Armor Integrator while under the effects of Thorned Hull can increase your Attack damage significantly.
• Because of the sheer amount of attack damage this item is capable of providing, multiplicative damage upgrades synergize extremely well with this item.
• Going below your inital Max HP will actually decrease your Attack damage with this item. Keep this in mind when considering whether to pick up Glass Cannon, Final Shell, or Fatal Fury.
• Crushing Hysteria, Flaring Hysteria, and Triplicate Spirits will not grant additional copies of this augment.

• Thorned Hull is based on the 20XX augment Thorned Hull, and before Early Access 0.18.0, had the exact same effect.

• Release 1.1.02: Crushing Hysteria, Flaring Hysteria, and Triplicate Spirits will no longer grant additional copies of this augment.
• Release 1.00.0:
  • Now only increases Attack Strength by 1 for every 30 Maximum Health the player has. Previously, it gave a bonus for every 20 Maximum Health.
  • No longer has any extra effect when stacked via nonstandard means (from Crushing Hysteria, Flaring Hysteria, etc)
• Unknown Version: Made once-per-run.
• Early Access 0.23.0pt: Updated icon. Previously, it looked like .
• Early Access 0.18.0: Overhauled. Now gives the player 1 attack strength for every 2 maximum health they have beyond their starting stats.
  • Early Access 0.18.6: Fixed a bug where Thorned Hull would grant a bonus from health granted by permanent upgrades.
