Thanatos is a Primary Weapon for Ace. It deals 12 base damage, and can be used in the air or while sliding on a wall to perform a spin attack. While spinning, Ace will deal 12 base damage approximately once every 0.167 seconds to enemies in a moderate radius around himself. On the ground, Thanatos can be swung up to two times in quick succession. Both swings will deal the same damage, but the second swing will deal damage in a larger area.

This weapon was added due to popular demand for, and behaves near-identically to the fan-favorite Spinning Glaive from 20XX. All hail.

Using Unleash Blade costs 10 energy and fires a small scythe projectile which deals 20 base damage and inflicts Marked-For-Death on an enemy for 3 seconds. Marking an enemy that is already marked will refresh the mark's duration. Killing another enemy will instantly destroy the Marked enemy. If used on a boss or miniboss, killing an enemy will instead deal a flat 30 to the marked enemy. The 20 damage on hit scales off of power strength, but the 30 damage on kill cannot be increased. It can be used without sufficient energy, but it will only deal 0.1x the on hit damage it normally would.

Reaper's Call Thanatos' Unleash pierces enemies Statistics Type Weapon Augment Can only be used by Ace. Appears once per run. Reaper's Call is a Weapon Augment for Thanatos. When obtained, using Unleash Blade with Thanatos will cause the projectile to pierce through enemies, even if it doesn't kill. This can also cause multiple enemies to be inflicted with the Thanatos Mark debuff from a single projectile. History Early Access 0.50.0: Released.

Graceful Spinning Fall slowly while using Thanatos in midair. Statistics Type Weapon Augment Can only be used by Ace. Appears once per run. Graceful Spinning is a Weapon Augment for Thanatos.
