System Restore is an augment. When obtained, the negative effects of most Prototype Augments the player currently has will be removed.

Effects

• Autoloader: The player regains control over which Primary Weapons they equip.
• Best Friend: Repros will no longer be forcibly salvaged if the player tries to obtain them.
• Blinding Hysteria: (To test: Assuming the player can see augments again?)
• Blue Streak: The player now loses the regular amount of health if they take damage while out of nuts.
• Brittle Guard: The player no longer takes double damage when being hit without immunity.
• Burn for Glory: The player no longer takes damage when using charged attacks.
• Charging Force: Removes the damage penalty for uncharged attacks.
• Contractor Beta: The damage multiplier can no longer go below 100% damage.
• Consuming Fury, Consuming Habits, and Consuming Stamina: The player no longer loses max HP on boss kills.
• Crushing Hysteria: The player no longer loses maximum HP when taking damage. Does not restore lost HP.
• Earthmetal Plating: The player can now gain the effects of movement augs again, and can utilize the main effects of Leg Cores.
• Edges of Madness: No effect.
• Elliecare: The player no longer loses nuts whenever they pickup health.
• Final Shell: Restores all sacrificed maximum HP.
• Flaring Hysteria: The player no longer takes triple damage.
• Focused Repair: The player can gain HP and NRG from kills again.
• Gears of Industry: The player no longer takes damage when picking up nuts.
• Grey Goo: (to test, currently unknown)
• Healing Flair: The player can gain NRG from health pickups again.
• Kinghealer: The player no longer loses nuts whenever they defeat a boss.
• Kingseeker: The player can now heal from other sources besides boss kills again.
• Madness Fountain: Removes all effects of this prototype.
• Market Fluctuations: The player no longer loses half their nuts when taking damage.
• Patchwork Integrator: The player no longer loses damage with equipped cores.
• Patchwork Overloader: Cores return to their usual cost.
• Rage Insurance: No effect?
• The One and Only: No effect.
• Tick, Tock: Removes all effects of the prototype.
• Utilifier MAX: Discounts are still retained, but Powers deal full damage again.
• Vexing Clover: No longer automatically obtains items when rerolling, but limited to one free reroll per Aug.
• Vibrodevourer: The player may attack again.
• Violence Enhancer: The player no longer takes 10 extra damage per hit taken.
• Vital Gambit: Fully heals the player.
• Wincing Clover: No longer take damage when rerolling, but limited to one free reroll per Aug.
• Zookeeper's Burden: The player may attack and use powers again.

Trivia

• System Restore is based on the 20XX augment System Restore, and has exactly the same effect.
• The Challenge Flavor Protomancer allows System Restore to appear more than once within a run.
• The icon for System Restore shows the icon for a Prototype Curse being thrown into a recycle bin. While Curses have been removed from the game, the icon has not been updated.
• If you sell it to the Scrap Trader, the downsides to the affected Prototypes will not return.

History

• Early Access 0.46.0: Decreased shop cost to 48. Previously, it cost 55 nuts.
• Early Access 0.20.0: Now obtainable.
• Early Access 0.18.0: Released, but it was bugged and could not be found during runs.
