Shopsmasher is an augment. When obtained, if the player salvages an item on within a shop, they will only pay half the price of the item, rounded up. This stacks with the cost reduction of an item being on sale, allowing the player to potentially salvage an item for only a quarter of its original price. Obtaining multiple copies of this augment has no additional effect.

Interactions and Synergies

• Shopsmasher will not affect the maximum health spent when using Blood Price to salvage shop items.
• When paired with Shopaholic, salvaging or purchasing a Shop item will effectively purchase the item AND its salvage benefit for half-price.
• The amount of Scrapbits gained from a Shop salvage can be further amplified with Scrap Sleuth.
• When paired with Scrap Trawler, salvaging in Shops can quickly rack up a large sum of Nuts, which you can use to keep salvaging Shop items.
  • This can be absolutely game-breaking with Shopaholic or Scrap Sleuth.
• Crushing Hysteria, Flaring Hysteria, and Triplicate Spirits will not grant additional copies of this augment.

History

• Release 1.1.03: Fixed a buggy interaction between Charisma Protocol and Shopsmasher. Previously, when using Scrapbits to salvage an item, the cost reduction of Shopsmasher would let the player salvage items they couldn't normally afford, but they would still pay full price for the item.
• Release 1.1.02: Crushing Hysteria, Flaring Hysteria, and Triplicate Spirits will no longer grant additional copies of this augment.
• Release 1.00.20: When paired with Shopaholic, now also triggers if the player purchases augments normally.
• Early Access 0.36.0: Increased rarity somewhat, causing it to appear less often during runs.
• Early Access 0.25.0: No longer appears in Mega Mode.
• Early Access 0.22.2:
  • Updated icon. Previously, it was the old Placeholder sprite.
  • Fixed a bug where the player would still be charged the full price of the augment despite the popup text, even if they couldn't afford it.
