Edges of Madness is a Prototype Augment. When obtained, all Scrapbits, Augments, Core Augments, and Primary Weapons in the player's inventory are rerolled. Powers and Prototypes are not affected by Edges of Madness.

With Prototype Resonator, the player is given 1 Scrapbit for every 2 items rerolled.

Collecting System Restore will do nothing.

Interactions

• Scrap Sleuth does not affect the amount of Scrapbits given from obtaining Edges of Madness with Prototype Resonator.
• When appearing as an offer from shops and the Smuggler due to the effects of Madness Fountain, this prototype costs 2 nuts and 1 Scrapbit respectively.

History

• Release 1.1.03: Prototype Resonator will now correctly take effect when obtaining Edges of Madness. Previously, it would only take effect if it was in the player's inventory after their items were rerolled.
• Early Access 0.57.0: With Prototype Resonator, now also grants 1 Scrapbit per 2 items rerolled.
• Early Access 0.47.0: Now removes the downside to Zookeeper's Burden. Previously, as the player's Repros would be rerolled, it would leave the player unable to attack.
• Early Access 0.37.0: Fixed a bug where Edges of Madness would continue to show you items that you no longer have.
• Early Access 0.28.0: Fixed a bug where picking up Edges of Madness would free up an incorrect amount of core points.
• Early Access 0.27.0: Released.
