Outcast is a Prototype Curse. When obtained, the player can no longer purchase items from shops.
Collecting System Restore will allow the player to purchase items from shops again.
Trivia
- Outcast does not prevent System Restore from appearing inside shops, which can potentially prevent players from curing themselves if it appears.
