Patchwork Integrator is a Prototype Augment. When obtained, armour set bonuses can be activated with 1 fewer Core Augment, but for every equipped Core Augment or Primary Weapon, damage output is reduced by a multiplicative 6%, stacking additively. The damage penalty caps out with 15 Core Augments/Primary Weapons equipped, for a 90% damage penalty. If multiple copies of this prototype are acquired, the amount of Cores needed to activate a set bonus is decreased by an additional 1 with no additional damage penalty. Decreasing the amount of required Cores to 0 will activate all set bonuses without needing any Cores equipped. Decreasing the amount of required Cores below 0 will make set bonuses impossible to activate.
With Prototype Resonator, damage output is reduced by 3% for every equipped Core Augment or Primary Weapon. This lowers the maximum damage penalty from 90% to 45% with 15 Core Augments/Primary Weapons equipped.
Collecting System Restore will remove the damage penalty for equipping Core Augments and Primary Weapons.
Interactions and Synergies
- The positive effect stacks additively with
Patchwork Overloader. If the player has both, set bonuses require only 2 pieces.
- When appearing as an offer from shops and the Smuggler due to the effects of
Madness Fountain, this prototype costs 2 nuts and 1
Scrapbit respectively.
Trivia
Patchwork Integrator is based on the 20XX augment of the same name, with a somewhat altered negative effect.
- When cured with
System Restore, the message that appears is: the tapestry becomes you.
Bugs
- The damage penalty per equipped Core Augment/Primary Weapon from
Patchwork Integrator depends on whether the player has
Prototype Resonator in their inventory, not whether they had it upon obtaining the prototype.
