Sage Beam is a Primary Weapon for Nina. When equipped, firing a fully charged shot will instead negate the shot and fire the weapon in the player's first Power slot instead. The Power will be fired at -15 Energy Cost, but will otherwise function as normal. If the player does not have a Power in their first Power slot, a regular charged shot is fired. Sage Beam cannot be used with
Verity Beam.
Synergies
- When combined with
Chaos Beam, three Powers can be fired at once.
Trivia
- As the energy reduction is additive, combining it with Power Efficiency effects like
Owlhawk's Focus will reduce the cost of most Powers to zero.
- By using
Dracopent's Fang, the player can rapid-fire multiple Powers at once, even when they would normally have a cooldown.
- When using
Zen Mortar or its fusions, the Split effect will only occur when pressing the Power button. Firing another charged shot while a mortar is active will just fire an additional mortar. This allows the player to split multiple mortars at once, especially when combined with
Dracopent's Fang.
- The energy cost of channeled Powers like File:Negation Barrier.png Negation Barrier is unaffected.
History
- Release 1.00.0: Fixed a bug where Sage Beam would not be able to use any Fusions involving
Autodrone.
- Early Access 0.54.0: No longer functions when the first Power slot is empty. Also indirectly fixes a weird interaction with
Juice Beam when the first Power slot is empty.
- Early Access 0.46.0: Now works properly with effects that modify or store charged shots, like
Dracopent's Fang or
Dracopent's Claw with the
Resonant Buster.
