Facesmasher is a Repro-type augment. When obtained, it trails behind the user. Whenever the player uses at least a half-charged attack, the Repro will charge at the nearest enemy in front of the player, dealing 30 base damage. For every bonus point of attack strength the player has, the damage dealt increases by an additive 5%. For every point below the default attack strength the player has, the damage is reduced by a subtractive 5%, capping at -90% with -18 attack strength.

Picking up more than one Facesmasher will raise its level by 1, increasing the base damage dealt by 30. With the Zookeeper's Set Bonus active, its travel speed is significantly increased.

It can permanently destroy Megavoids in Penumbra, and can also destroy Absolution's voids.

Interactions

• The damage dealt by Facesmasher is not affected by Calculated Strike, Counterstrike, Kinetic Destructor, or Rage Circuit.
• Facesmasher as well as all other attacking Repros only receive half the normal benefit of non-multiplicative global damage boosts such as Shield Bash.
  • Facesmasher and other attack strength scaling Repros also receive half the normal benefit of Core Aggressor.
• Zookeeper's Zeal will increase the travel speed of Facesmasher.

Trivia

• Facesmasher is based on the 20XX augment Re-Flapp, with a very similar effect.
  • Additionally, just like the old Re-Flapp, Facesmasher deals 10x damage to Flapps.

History

• Release 1.2.0: Appears less often and now costs 43 nuts instead of 30. This also increased its salvage value from 2 to 3.
• Release 1.1.03: No longer benefits from Calculated Strike, Counterstrike, Kinetic Destructor, or Rage Circuit and receives half the normal boost from Core Aggressor and non-multiplicative global damage buffs such as Shield Bash.
• Release 1.1.00: Reduced the damage gained per point of bonus attack strength from 10% to 5%.
• Early Access 0.24.0: Released.
