Lethal Tempo is a system of four gears that acts as the Guardian of Clockzone. Upon defeat, they drop Aiming Gear.png Aiming Gear for Nina, or Dolomite Link.png Dolomite Link for Ace.

Attacks

Lethal Tempo always does the same pattern of attacks in a set order, and each individual gear will attack in order from top to bottom, performing the same attack.

The attacks are:

  1. Launches a straight-flying gear aimed at the player
  2. Fires a wall-piercing laser
  3. Fires a fan of three gears in a 30-degree cone
  4. Launches a gear in an arc aimed at the player
  5. Fires a fan of three gears in a 45(?)-degree cone
  6. Returns to step 1

As each individual gear is defeated, the remaining ones will gradually become more difficult to defeat, due to them both attacking faster and creating more projectiles.

Tips

Nina's Rending Whirl (dropped from Hoot Omega), especially with the Charge fusion, can make especially short work of the boss due to its verticality allowing it to hit all four at once.

Also, Nina's Crushing Void (dropped from Absolution) can absorb gears. When charged, this has the potential to one-shot multiple targets at once.

Ace's Echo Shell (dropped from Echobeast) can reflect gears directly back to the target that originally launched it.

Ace's Void Double (dropped from Absolution) can be used to hit multiple parts of the boss at once.

Due to the boss fight getting more difficult as you defeat more parts of Lethal Tempo, it is recommended to knock them down to the lowest amount of HP you can without killing them, then kill all four at once.
