A laboratory concealed deep underground, designed to keep their forbidden secret. Antigravity technology runs amok here, but those who built it are long gone. |
Watergrav is a zone in 30XX. It is an underwater laboratory with an emphasis on reversing gravity.
Gimmicks
Object | Description |
---|---|
Water Block | A moveable block of "water" that affects the behavior of nearby foes and stage elements. The "holder" at the end of the block's movement is also solid! Block size is variable, and the destination can be placed above or below the water block. |
Water Block Switch | Flips the orientation of nearby Water Blocks. |
Water Platform | Platforms that become solid only when they're submerged in water. |
Hydrophobic Platform | Platforms that become solid only when they're *not* submerged in water. |
Gravity Zone | Extremely illegal technology. Sets the gravitational orientation of anything that touches it, likely flinging things into the atmosphere. |
Water Bomb | Carelessly littered, or meticulously placed? Explodes on contact or when shot, spitting out shrapnel. The shrapnel spreads acid when in water. |
Anchor Mine | Explosive deterrents that can only be removed by attacking from up-close. Will float upwards while in water, and fall otherwise. Also has an upside-down variant. |
Acid Spitter | Wall-mounted death spitter. Acid shots are stopped by water, allowing would-be invaders to use water blocks as a shield. |
Glass Spike | A painful, solid spike that harms the player on contact. Does not kill instantly (by default). |
Lava | Adjustable red rectangle of destruction. Never moves, no matter how hard it tries. It doesn't try very hard, though. Falling into lava will damage the player for 1 Hazard damage, and respawn them on the last safe spot they were on. |

History
- Early Access 0.36.0:
- Slightly reduced the level generation difficulty in Watergrav.
- Multiple changes to Anchor Mines:
- Can now be damaged from further away.
- Explosion radius has been reduced for player damage, and increased for enemy damage.
- Now vulnerable to charged attacks, which will send them flying.
- Explosions now chain to nearby mines, even if their eye is closed.
- Fixed an issue where large projectiles would hit the chain before hitting the mine, incorrectly blocking the attack.
- Early Access 0.33.0: Introduced.
